What is a doula?
​

A doula is a trained professional ready to guide you towards an empowering and satisfying birth.  I am there to guide and support couples with options, knowledge + advocacy before, during, and after childbirth.

What does a Doula

Do?

Birth is monumental and has far-reaching effects in your life.   
​I’ll be there to help calm + encourage you, teach your partner how to support you, help communicate your wishes for your care, and ensure you receive continuous support while allowing your partner to take care of their needs.

I will:

• teach how to craft a birth plan
• discuss the pros/cons/alternatives of all birth options
• provide in-person support (physical, emotional, educational) during labor
• teach your partner how to effectively support you
• enable you to effectively communicate with your provider
• advocate for you
• validate emotions + 
• assist with the first feedings + infant care
• help you create a plan for postpartum to thrive not simply survive
• answer questions anytime during pregnancy and postpartum

Having a guide who has seen the ins and outs of birth and postpartum over 100+ times allows you to focus on what’s important, not get caught up in the small things.

I'll be your guide as you reclaim and own your power, digging deeper than ever before.  I'll accompany you in finding the peace + calm, and belief in your body's capabilities.  Most especially, I'll be there as you discover the beauty and magic of your birthing experience, especially if your previous birth(s) didn't go as planned.

I will provide the knowledge and tools so you feel confident going into this transformative event, ready to lean into each other and the assurance that your body can do this.
